Fundraising Challenge, benefiting the Komen Treatment Assistance Program

Too many women and men don’t get the breast cancer treatment they need because of financial hardship. That’s where the Susan G. Komen® Treatment Assistance Program comes in. It helps those facing financial challenges by providing financial assistance, education and support services to eligible low-income, underinsured or uninsured women and men undergoing treatment for breast cancer across the country.

All dollars raised through the Susan G. Komen 3-Day from June 24 – July 8 will directly fund the Komen Treatment Assistance Program.

So, we’re challenging YOU to boost your fundraising efforts and help us reach our goal of $600,000 for the program. We want you to share the information about this important program with as many potential donors as possible. Not only will you be reaching your 3-Day fundraising goals, you will be continuing to help people in need.

As you know, your 3-Day fundraising helps to fund many life-saving programs throughout the year; from research and patient navigation to screening, diagnosis and treatment assistance programs. We want to provide you with the tools and information you need to fundraise by communicating the direct impact of your donor funds.

Our fundraising challenge is an opportunity to reach out to your friends and family to ask for a donation and let them know about one of the many programs funded by the 3-Day. Be sure to provide them with specific information about how their dollars are funding critical programs and how they will be helping people like this:

“Thank you so much for the assistance you provided for me. It made such a great difference in my life. I felt such a relief. Just knowing I could get to and from my appointments was a great help. It's nice to know that there are still people in our community that care for the sick. There are not enough words to express just how grateful I am for your kindness and generosity.” —Assistance Recipient
