Since 2005, I have been part of the Susan G. Komen 3-Day - walking, crewing, volunteering, and fundraising. Nearly two decades later, my reason for showing up year after year continues to grow.
I walk because breast cancer has touched my family.
I walk in honor of past teammates who fought bravely but are no longer here.
I walk alongside current teammates who continue their fight every single day.
I walk for survivors whose courage inspires me.
And I walk for my children, so they may grow up in a world where breast cancer is no longer a threat to their futures.
This journey is about more than miles. It's about honoring lives lost, lifting up those in the fight, and fueling the research and support that brings us closer to the day when no family hears the words ?you have breast cancer.?
Every dollar raised, every step taken, brings us closer. Thank you for helping me keep walking.
